Ghost in the Castle – english translation / Halloween of the Dead

26 Nov

The « hidden setting » that want to speak Yura turns about the strange circumstance of the death of the boy. According the comment of Yura, the girl is died in the same circmstance than the boy. It sounds like to twin souls.

Notes:
kanashi ge na urunda me ga
boku no mune ni kage wo otosu
daijoubu owari wa nai yo
boku wa zutto koko ni iru yo
A shadow is left in my breast,
By your sadness and watery eyes.
It’s alright, the end will never come
I’ll always be there for you…

In red, litterally this stanza must be translated by « I’ll always be there… », but I have put the « for you », because I have the feeling that’s how must be understanded this stanza. The boy rests for the girl.

kurai tenjou ni hone dake no nezumi
hashirimawaru kara kirakira hokori ga mau
On the dark ceiling, because the rats are running everywhere,
Only a skeleton, dances in the sparkling dust…

The paragraph the most interesting of the song. I think this passage explain, that in reality the boy was torturing, when he was alive. « tenjou=ceiling »… Does it mean he was tied by a cord and finish suspended, to the ceiling? I let you imagine all the horrors that he suffer when the boy was alive.

Sadly, the comment of Yura rests ambiguous and the boy doesn’t want to explain precisely what happen to him, in order that the song rests mysterious. Even if I have the feeling he was torturing by his parents, for an unknow reason.

furubita wo shiro ni furubita yoroi to
aoku sukitouru kimi no egao ga ukabu
kyou wa toranpu ashita wa chesu wo
hora madamada tarinai yo
asa nante ko nakute ii asobou
In a very old castle, a very old armor…
You become blue transparent, and your smile appeared.
Today we’re going to play card game, tomorrow we’ll play chess,
Look, I’m still not satisfied.
Until the morning comes, let’s play!

odorou saate wo toriai
tsuki terashite kimi no kokoro
toumeina hikari wo hanachi garasu no you ni hakanaku
Now, let’s dance, let’s hold our hands together!
The moon is illuminating your heart
And the transparent light liberates an empty glass…

kanashi ge na urunda me ga
boku no mune ni kage wo otosu
daijoubu owari wa nai yo
boku wa zutto koko ni iru yo
A shadow is left in my breast,
By your sadness and watery eyes.
It’s alright, the end will never come
I’ll always be there for you…

kurai tenjou ni hone dake no nezumi
hashirimawaru kara kirakira hokori ga mau
On the dark ceiling, because the rats are running everywhere,
Only a skeleton, dances in the sparkling dust…

‘hanashi wo kiite koko nii cha dame’
aa shitte iru kedo mada
shiranai furi wo shitai hisou na akumu
‘There is no way, that I tell my story, in this place!’
Ah! I know everything, but once again,
I will pretend to know anything about this sad nightmare…

odorou saa subete wo wasure
tsuki terashite boku no kokoro
toumeina hikari wo hanachi chi wo nagara shite setsunaku
Now, let’s dance, let’s forget everything
The moon is illuminating my heart
And the transparent light liberates, during that time, my painful blood!

kanashi ge na urunda me ga
boku no mune ni itami kureru
daijoubu owari wa nai yo
shi wa hajimari kimi e tsuzuku
The pain is running in my breast,
By your sadness and watery eyes.
It’s alright, the end will never come
Your death begins and continues…
