For my general comment of Emerald Alice and Silver Blanchette, please, take a look in Emerald Alice.

Silver Blanchette is one of the CD of Yura for the C91. It’s connected to Emerald Alice, which offers, the dark side of some songs.

My judgement for Silver Blanchette is clear. For me, this CD is really excellent, only, if you understand the stories, and have take a look to Emerald Alice. Actually this CD remembers me, Tsumi ni Nureta Majo. You will say the song are good and pleasant, but nothing special. But I know all your opinions will change, when you have finished to read the translations and my comments. The black CD is clearly better, than Emerald Alice. So, I don’t think overall, a lot of people will be dissapointed about this one.

The CD is black, and most of the song, are really heavy, for me. This « heavy » confers, violent and brutal gothic stories.

For the connected black song :
– 葬列に鳴く駒鳥 / Souretsu ni naku komadori
– 歌書館少女 / Kashokan shoujo,
You will like them, like a big explosion.

For the others songs of the CD :
– immoral rite: I find it very good, but I’m not sure that it will please to everyone. Probably, different opinions.

– 西洋菓子少女工房 / Seiyou kashi shoujo koubou: Overall, this song is really open to criticism. At the end, I think that will be song the less like, in reason of borderline, of recycling.

– Silver Blanchette: I know a lot of people will love the song. But for me, clearly not the best song made from Drop, not the best song of the CD and clearly not the best story. When you have finish to read all translations and my comments, please tell me that your opinions has changed.

Conclusion: It’s a really good CD, with very good stories inside it. I know you will like it. Please, to love more this CD, take absolutely a look to Emerald Alice, before to listen it.

Myself I enjoy pratically everything, except Silver Blanchette. Please take look to my comments, for my different opinions.

If the white side we can see Alice on the cover, in the black side can be found Little Red Riding Hood. The two girls on the cover are georgeous, with theirs similarites, but the two of them looks really badass. Also, the cat of Cheshire and the Wolf, can be seen on them.

This opening is just amazing. The first time I hear it, I was like that: o_0!

I love so much this song. I imagine Little Red in the forest going peacefully, to the house of her grandmother. She is represented with cute notes. But in these cute notes, are hiding the devil Wolf, wanting to eat her. The song is clearly violent with this mix ofcute notes for Little Red, and the dangerous notes for the Wolf.
Can you hear the darkness is really, closes here?

1曲目から2曲目への流れが美しいなーって思ってます。
荘厳でゴージャスな黒ゴス曲で夕野さんの煌びやかな闇的な歌詞が
相まってたまらないです。言葉使いとか毎回凄く勉強になりますわ。
切なく闇っぽく歌ってみました。
I consider, that the passage from the first track to the second one is beautiful.
The irresistible blazing darkness lyrics from Mr. Youno, are coupled with the black georgeous and oppressive gothic composition.
Every time, I am learning of lot from these amazing words.
I tried to sing a suffocating darkness.

Comment of Meriole:
Just after a « dangerous » opening, full of darkness, we fall directly in the dark.
One of the thing that we don’t know about the song, is we are in the point of view of a man or woman. Feminine form doesn’t exist in Japenese, and any pronouns for male are used, also. I will use « he/his »to refer to the « person », but again I don’t konw if we are in the point of view of a man or woman.

« This is the story of someone trapped in his own trap ». That’s how, I will summarize the song, in one phrase.

The thing that we need to understand in this song is this notion of« pleasure ». The person wants to be bound to « pleasure ». Pleasure, is actually bound to « salvation ».

Take a look properly to the song, you will see that person is crazy mentally. This person suffers of « masochism ». Inside of this masochism he researches pleasure, with the pain. This pain is physical. Can you see in the song, some acts of self-harm?

In the song, the person want always more and more pleasure. Before he notices, he begun to be trapped in a sweet killing game.

Wanting always more and more of pleasure, he finishes to understand how to receive the most beautiful pain, forever. Of course, it means to suicide/dying. But this pain that he received, at the moment of his close his eyes, seems really beautiful, to him.

He can’t resist of this sweet pain, and the bloody consequence. The song itself is really painful.

This song is so georgeous no matter what I think. Youno lyrics are luxurious and sensual. Hikarinosu’s composition is here to reflect all the heavy and georgeous lyrics. Personally, I’m really fan of the combo YounoXHikarinosu, it confers a really spectacular song. Takahiro’s guitar is heavy and help Hikarinosu, for a better composition.

And the way how is singing Yura is beautiful. The way how is singing Yura, really illustrates, all the heavy of the song. The voice is suffocating, until the person itself is dying, in his own trap. But no matter what I think this song is amazing and suffocating.

Excellent! I love the darkness of Mr. Okka, like a big explosion!
In Nico Nico Douga, can be seen the georgeous moving illustrations of Mr. Ittomaru. I was loving everything, so I’m so glad that I could sing it.
I tried to sing the image of a coquettish girl.

Comment of Meriole:
This song has a lot of things to explain. Let’s begin in the order.

This song is originally called 夢魔と羊の群れ / Muma to Hitsuji no Mure (A group of sheep and the succubus), from the CD « Babel ». In this version, the song is about a succubus, who is luring and eating, the blood and fresh skins, of mysterious « sheeps ». The sheeps, of course, were refering to human. Impossible to not cry for the sad fate of sheeps, in the original version.

Some time later, Okka has made a new version of this song called 西洋菓子少女工房 / Seiyou kashi shoujo koubou, with the vocaloid Hatsune Miku. A clip has been created and released, during the Valentine day. It’s one of the reason why the song is about sweet things.

Between the original version and the one of Miku, the composition of Okka is the same, and the way how are singing Miku is also, the same than Yura. The only thing that changing, are actually the lyrics. Violet was enough kind, to transcribe the kanji/romaji from the PV. She also made the one of Muma to Hitsuji no Mure. In her blog, she compares what part of lyrics has been changed during the new version of Miku :

After some time, Yura has obtained the right to sing on this version of Miku. And this song appears in the black CD.

I have pratically nothing to say for the content of this song, if you have take a look to the PV and my translation. It’s about a coquettish girl, who love sweet things.

In this new version, this coquettish girl turns hers butlers into candies, macaroons and other sweet things, to eat them. It’s the secret of « her sweet factory ». The girl sounds like a devil magician, here.

I really enjoy the original version. It’s a dark and as always the way how are singing Yura, on Okka’s composition is really funny with these terrible lyrics.
But the song is really borderline of recycling. Even so, I can’t consider the song as recycling, because something has been changed, from the original version. However, this song rests very open to criticism. I think a lot of people will be angry, against this one. Personally, I find this vocal of Yura clearly inferior to the original, and the one of Miku.

Even so, I know in the western, nobody has seen, the story of this song that is really good. So, I’m sure you will enjoy my translation and this song will climb in you preference order. But it’s really because, for me, it was the best song from Babel. I’m not fan of the CD Babel, expcet Muma and Mr. Alice, all the rest were not terrible.

For me, I will not put in my last order of preference, because Yura tries to make something else, in trying to change the lyrics, to have something new. But sadly, she failed. One thing, where I’m was the most dissapointed, was the fact that I was thinking the sound/recording will be improved, in this CD. But that’s not the case. So, we have a song with an old recording from BABEL. Personally it breaks a little the listening, when you listen just after the track 4. But even so, Yura has tried to make something new, and that I don’t see often in doujin music.

4.葬列に鳴く駒鳥 / Souretsu ni naku komadori (A robin is singing in the funeral procession)

白ゴスサイドの「Replant」と世界観がリンクしております。
双子の子のことを少し下に見ながらも愛していたんだよーって
感じの歌詞にしてみました。この子も美少女なのですが目立たないように
こっそり生きてる感じです。
« Replant » in the white gothic CD, and the point of view of this world, are linked.
I tried to make feeling lyrics, in using the love, from the point of view of the younger, due to the circumstances of the twin childrens.
This girl is also a beautiful girl, but she is living secretly, so that’s why she is not conspicuous.

Comment of Meriole:
This is the black side of Replant. In this side we are in the point of view of the black twin sister.

The truth of the song is about the twin black sister, who love very much her sister. But she is also very jealous of this one. The truth is about the black twin, who have killed the white twin, with a silver knife. The girl is considered like a robin, a bird with a red red mark on it plumage. This comparison refers of course to the blood of the black sister, where she has killed her sister.
To keep on eye, for eternity of her white sister, she keeping her, sleeping/dying, inside a coffin. The white sister is just like a butterfly, inside a box of specimen.

In the song « Replant », this white world confered, by the black sister is nothing more than the « paradise ». The soul of the killed sister, rests in peace. In Replant, we are actually, from the begining, in the point of view of the killed sister. This white sister is falling, in this white world, with nothing inside it. She is trapped forever, inside a coffin. Also, the « carriage » refers to the funeral. The truth in « Replant » is, that in the carriage, is transported the coffin of the sister, who has been killed by the other.

« The two songs are telling the stories of two twins sisters, released »
The white sister has been released in the bad sens, because she’s dead.
The black sister has been released of her jealousy and pain that she felt, from her white sister.

We can interpret the two songs like that, but l want to add something.
There’s one thing that I want to add, but it’s more a thoery. I think, I know the truth, about the reason that the black sister has killed the other. In the two song, the notion of« prince » is mentionned. In Replant, the white sister say clearly that she has seen her prince. And for me, it means, that she already encounter her prince, when she was alive. So, for me, it means that she was loving a man, when she was alive.

In the black side this notion of prince is also said. The black sister says she tries to want her prince, but it seems, she failed.

I think the two twin sisters were in reality in love, with the same man. But because the black one, was living secretely (according the comment of Yura), she was feeling sad, when she see that her love will never be reach. She should suffer, to see her sister take away, and stealing the person she was loving. Probably, because of this betrayal, jealousy are borned inside her heart, and you know what happen after.

To finish my thoery, the two girl are twins. Why do you think Yura has chosen twin sisters and not normal sisters? Probably, when the black one has killed the white one, she tried to take her place, to be with the « prince ». The prince of course, will never know, because their appearance are similars. But it seems after she killed her sister, her love has not be reached. She failed to want her prince. Now, we can clearly see, some regrets of her act, and a little of love for her sister.

As a bonus, let me say this, for the translation of the title of the song :
鳴く/ naku. Write like this « naku » means « sing » for a bird. So, the translation is clearly « A robin is singing in the funeral procession »
However, naku has the same pronunciation than the verb « cry ». I’m pretty sure Yura wants to say a hidden message, with the title which is « A robin is crying in the funeral procession ».

I think everyone will love Souretsu ni naku komadori, like a big explosion.
How to not fall in love with these sharp, violent, wild lyrics made by Yura. Everything is black, here. The composition of Amedio is amazing, can you hear Replant, inside it?

This violin, which confer and heavy black atmosphere all the song. And Yura voice is just… Gloups… So, excellent. I prefer ten more Yura, when she is singing like this, than when she is singing in a fast composition of Drop.

Conclusion : I’m pratically sure everyone will love Replant+Souretsu ni naku komadori. I consider this song my favorite between the white and black CD.

Suspicious sweet melody of Mr. Toromaru, and lyrics are melting in the unclean.

Comment of Meriole:
This is the black side of « 歌壇少女 / Kadan shoujo ». Most of the truth seems to be explain in two stanza. Even so, the truth is not say clealry and lyrics confer, many explications/theories possible, for this story.

Here, what I understand of the song:

« This is the story of a girl, creating movies »

To begin can you hear, the composition, which sounds like a film reel? The composition here, has been made in purpose. But can you hear that this film reel sounds very old, and very fall into disrepair?

This is the story of a witch, who is writing poetry books, in a spacious house. With hers powers, in a spiral magic, she gives life to those stories written, from the poetry books. This spiral magic, full words, is just like, if we roll out a film reel. This witch is like God, since she is the one, who is giving life to her movies.

The black side reveals, that the witch has created a lot of movies. Each books, contains in reality one dimensional world. In all these dimensional worlds, can be found different characters/comedians/lifes, that she has created for her own pleasure. For example, « the beloved in the white side » is nothing more in reality, a mechanism/marionette, from the witch, to make work her movies. We can say in the white side, she has created a movie about « the perfect couple ». Of course, that’s involve all other characters that she has created. Nothing is perfect in the white side: everything is just a lie! The love of the man is just an unrequited love. His love will never reach the girl, no matter what he’s doing. He will finish to perish, in the water/ink of the feather, controlled by the hand of the girl, as larva.

Now, time to explain what is the truth between the two stories. In Kadan Shoujo, the girl has created a false paradise, an illusion land, where everything is okay. I will say that this created world is in « a good health », only because the witch take care, « for the moment », of this world. It means that this « paradise » is really fragile and only lives, in function of the interest of the witch.

The truth of the black side, is when the witch has enough of one world (one story that she has written), this one is sinking. In fact, all peotry books in her house are one of the movie that she has created, but that she doesn’t care anymore. All these world and the characters, that she has given life, finish to perish, until to dying. Now, all the film reel seems full of dust, and completely wear out.
Can you see in the song, these insects (refers to the comedians) dying, or, these flowers begging to not be abandonned? She is a person in fault of the misery, of hers invented world. She created life and after thrown them away.

One word to summarize this story : a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Whoaoao! Clearly my favorite story between the two CD. Here, the lyrics are just beautiful, but only in Japenese. Ittomaru has used a lot of wordplay and other style in the kanjis, pratically all the song. But all this styles sink, during a translation (T_T)… I’m sorry Ittomaru to not make an honour to your lyrics. But I love it so mcuh, so you don’t know how much. I was clearly impressed by these shophistacted stanzas and all this culture, in the stanzas. So, I’m sorry I don’t think a lot of people will find something extroardinary in the lyrics. But I least, I hope you will like the song.

The composition of toromaru is amazing. Here, the composition represents an old film reel, completey deteriorated. I love so much the instrumental part at 2.45 of the song, that clearly confirms what I’m saying.

Same for Yura voice. I don’ t know if a lot of people enjoy the way how is singing Yura. You will say it’s heavy, but it has been made in purpose.

Yura’s voice gives all the heavy, on the heavy lyrics of ittomaru, on the heavy composition of toromaru. Here the black theme is completely respected.

I think most people has enjoyed the song. But now, you now the truth of the story, you will like it, ten more, than before.

こちらは赤ずきんちゃんを好きになってしまった狼男を題材にしてみました。
赤ずきんちゃんの名前って童話では「ブランシェット」っていうんですって。
で、いつも影からこそっとみていた狼男が今日は死ぬ気でぶつかってみちゃうぞーっ
的なお話ですw 赤ずきんちゃんは銀の小さな短剣を持っていつも森へお出かけ
していたのでそれで殺されたら本望だなーみたいな内容にしてみました。
曲はDropさん節がぎゅんぎゅんきいたハード目のゴスになっております。さすがっす。
In this song, can be found the subject of the wolf man who is completly in love with Little Red Riding Hood.
In the fairy-tale, the name of Little Red Riding Hood is « Blanchette ».
As always the shadow of the wolf man can be seen once again today, with a spirit of killer.
This is a wonderful story. In this one, Little Red Riding Hood has always a small silver dagger, when she goes, in the forest.
I tried to make in sort, that the content is about a long ambition to kill.
The song from Mr. Drop, grows in a hard emotional day. As expected from him.

Comment of Meriole:
I don’t have really much to say for the content of the song. The explication of Yura is clearly sufficient.

I think everyone knows the tale of « Little Red Riding Hood ». In this song, Yura has made a Wolf who is completely crazy and sensible for Little Red. And the bloody consequence that can be appears. Because it’s a feeling song, it’ s better to take a look to the translation.

Here, the composition of Drop is to illustrated the violent and impossible love of the wolf.

Personally, it’s an excellent song, with a very beautiful story. I’m sure a lot of people will like this song, but even so, clearly not the best song and story of the two CD. So, I’m not so much surprised to the end.

The composition of Drop makes me think to much to an old composition, that he already made in the past. And because of this repetitive composition, I’m less impressed, than the last previous works of Drop.

Where I’m dissapointed is, for me, this song is « off topic ». I mean, it’s supposed to be a black CD, but at any moment I’m hearing something black in the CD. In the other songs of Silver Blanchette, we were hearing something heavy or black, with the compositions or the way how is singing Yura. But in this one? The composition of Drop is just fast and explosive but doesn’t give something black (please Drop stop to make explosive songs X2). And the voice of Yura wich is singing also fast, doesn’t confer anything black, for me. At the limit it sounds more white, than black…

But that’s doesn’t surprise me, because if Drop is expert of white compositions, I never seen him made heavy/black songs.

Also, just like Emerald Alice, the theme of Silver Blanchette too simple, for me.

So, I’m obligated to put it, in last of my preference order. The music is off topic with the black theme. At any moment, I’m feeling something black on it, and I’m sure I’m not the only one to think it. Take a look to all other vocal of the CD, you will see that the other songs are clearly black, with these heavy atmosphere everywhere.

At the end, it will be better to put this song in other CD. This song remembers me a little Kowaku no Mori, which was an intruder for me, but the difference between Kowaku no Mori and Silver Blanchette is that in Shadows, Yura has never said officially that the CD were more oriented celtic/folk. But for Silver Blanchette the theme of Black was officially said, by Yura.

Another good ending made by Hikarinosu. He is really talented. I prefer more his opening and ending, in Silver Blanchette than Emerald Alice.
I really love all the shining dark ambience confers by this grandiose ending.
