目覚めの刻 (Mezame no toki) – english translation / FairiA ~幻想妖精絵本~ (FairiA ~gensou yousei ehon~)

A song with really beautiful lyrics. Once again, Youno is awesome here. During the translation, the words were coming, so easily face the beauty of handwriting, from Youno. I’m always learning a lot from his beautiful hand. I really love how the emotion from Yura’s voice, are entered in the composition from toromaru, so melancholy and dramatic.

Just like Lenie Ya Falea, the song turns about the subject of “awakening”.

I tried to translate in putting a lot of feeling, melancholy and tragedy, overflowing from this song, all in keeping a part of mystery. I hope you will like it.

歌書館少女 (Kashokan shoujo) – english translation / Silver Blanchette

Normally, ittomaru is one of illustrators of Yura. I’m very surprise that he can write lyrics like this. I’m also very impressionnated by the story that he has created, and let you at the same time a lot of interpretations possible. At the end the lyrics seems to reveal the truth.

A lot of picture has been made by ittomaru. I will be really glad if you can read three times the translation. First time without my explication and notes. Second time with my comment on the lyrics, and my notes of translation. Third time to have your own opinion about the music.
By the way, you will think that some expressions that I used in english are strange. It’s normal, everything it’s « unclean », from Japenese, and give strange expressions. Same, when we translate the song.

Anyways, just like say Yura, I’m so impressed o_0!

Notes :

救憐唱 / Kyrie = It’s an hymn according to a merciful God, to ask the blessing of this one.

紙魚 / shimi = bristletail. This word refers to a class of insect.

カコトピアの 穴 = The cacotopia pit. Cacotopia (same as the word dystopia) is to refer to a worst possible world. It’s the contrary of utopia world.
« Pit » in the sens of « Orchestra pit ».

詠唱 = Aria. Aria is a piece of music written for a solo vocalist in an opera.

ピカノスク = picaresque. A child picaresque is a miserreux, orphans, « irregular » living on the margins of society.

フレスコ = fresco. Refer to a technique of mural painting.

ビヰドロの姫 = video princess. Video in the sens of movie/film. No, it’s not my brain, which is crazy. Please take a look to all the song, you will see that it concurs.

導化師 憐寸の 神芝居
嘘狩りの 聖女と魔女
doukeshi ren sun no kami shibai
uso kari no seijo to majo
For the merciful and dimensional drama of God, expert comedians,
Hunt the lies of the saint and the witch.

Very difficult to translate this part. But if you take a look, all the truth is here.

« expert comedians » refers to the puppets of the girl.

« Hunt the lies » refers to the white side, with this false heaven.

« the saint and the witch ». The saint refers to the girl in the white side part. She is considered, like a saint singing in the garden heaven of flowers. The witch refers to the black side part. She is considered like a magician telling/singing the story of each books, that she has invented for her own pleasure.

« For the merciful and dimensional drama of God ». Each books should contains a different dimension/story. The girl is like a God in all world that she has created. When she has enough of one book/world, this world finish to fall in the misery. That’s what illustratre this song, in the black side. She is a person at fault of the fall, of her invented world. After all the last stanza is : « Farewell, my invented movie! »

貴方の 秘密の小石
罰の林檎 天汽車切符
anata no himitsu no koishi
batsu no ringo ame kisha kippu
The secret of your pebble,
Offers a ticket for the train of heaven, by the apple of punishment…

This paragraph is very difficult to interpret.

小石 / koishi = pebble. But the sens is strange don’t you think? Actually, I think the « anata = you » refers to the man/beloved, in the white side. It’s difficult to interpret the stanza. But I’m thinking about pebbles that you throw, and making ricochet, above the reflecting water. Sadly, your pebble finish, after some ricochets, to sink in the water. With the rest of the song, that’s actually how I understand this paragraph: the beloved has sunk in the water, and so, is soul go to the paradise.

回歸に歸る 血頭巾
法螺 マクよ さやうなら
kaieni kaeru chi zukin
hora maku yo sayounara
And can’t never return from the bloody headband…
Farewell, my invented movie!

マク / maku. Written like this « maku » has a lot of interpretations possible. It can means movie, film (more in the sens « film reel »), volume, books, text, curtain, bunting, act of play… It was really difficult to choose the translation.

法螺 / hora. Written like this it can refer to an invented story, but can also means a boasting, big talk.

At the end, I have chosen the translation « my invented movie » in reason of the « video princess », the composition (who makes me think to an old movie) and the poetry invented by the girl.

歌壇少女 / (Kadan shoujo) – english translation / Emerald Alice

Spacious song and paradise garden. Best moment for the tea and chocolates ^^. Don’t forget, in this song you can hear Yura say « ma chérie », in french.

Please take absolutely a look to my notes, to have a better impression for the song. Ittamoru has used a lot of love symbolism, in this one.

To see what is about this song click : here.

Notes:
Ittomaru has used a lot of katakana, in the song. Most of the time the katakana refer to a french word. Or, for the name of different flowers. Of course, I translate everything in english. But I want to put this note, in reason of the style of lyrics.

For a better interpretation of the song, we can even move forward and study the symbolism of every flowers, mentioned in the song.

The first word is in katakana, the second in french style, and the third in english translation.

マシェリ = ma chérie = my darling. But, in french, « ma » is used to designate a girl/a woman. If, it’s was for a man we will used « mon chérie ». Enjoy, the feminine and masculine form. So, this sentence, indicates clearly, that we are in the point of view of a man.

マロニエ = marronnier = marronier or horse chestnut
Symbolisms: Horse chestnut are considered protective and beneficial trees. It’s also a symbolism of garden, providers of games, stories and dreams.

エチュード = étude. In french, this word is more used for drawing a scene, a plan, a map, ect. So, I used the translation « scene », to simplificate the things.

コクリコ = coquelicot = poppy (a flower)
In the language of flowers, the poppy symbolizes rest, tranquility and consolation.

アザレア = azalée = azalea (a flower)
Azaleas, in the language of flowers, symbolizes the discrete joy of loving or being loved. Offering an azalea expresses discretion and shyness love.

ドラジェ = dragée = sugared almond
According to the popular belief, dragees would be the symbol of fertility, abundance and happiness.

プディング = pudding

ピエスモンテ = pièce montée = a word comptely french, with no really translation in english. Literally it means « assembled piece » or « mounted piece »
The « assembled piece » is the symbol cake of union, happiness, prosperity and fertility used during wedding. It represent a gentle and magnificent pyramid, like the life of the couple.
At the top, a figurine of married in sugar or porcelaine, which must not fall. If it falls it will bring misfortune, to the couple. During the cake is cutting, the couple can want, to not seperated their hands.

ショコラトリー = chocolaterie = chocolate factory

スズラン = suzuran (a flower). In english is called Lily of the valley.
Flower language: return of Happiness, unconscious beauty, purity.

アネモネ = anemone (a flower).
The beautiful Anemone flower symbolizes:
• Protection against evil and ill wishes
• The approach of a rain storm when the petals close up
• Forsaken or forgotten love and affection
• Anticipation and excitement for something in the future
• Fairies and their magical world of twilight
• The death of a loved one or the loss of them to someone else
• Protection against disease and illness
• The arrival of the first spring winds
• Bad luck or ill omens

プリムヴィール = primevère = primula (a flower).
The primulas announce the end of winter and the arrival of spring and its beautiful days. In the language of flowers, primula often symbolizes a new and spontaneous love, filled with a juvenile energy. The white primrose symbolizes the purity of a love. Primrose is the symbol of youth, and the innocence of a first love.

ここは 秘密の 歌壇
永遠に 続く お茶会
koko wa himitsu no kadan
eien ni tsuzuku ochakai
Here, can be found the secret of poetries
For eternity will continue this tea party

歌壇 / kadan = poetry circles. I made a lot of research for the word « Kadan ». This word has old japenese origin, and seems to come from the « Heian period ». « Kadan » should refer to a group of poets, in the Heian Period, which confer a lot of changement during the Japenese language, and even allow women to write. During this time a lot of poets, have written their masterpieces.

I find a book very interesting that explain very well and help me a lot to beter understand this meaning and the song. Here the link, if you want to read a little.

Litterally kandan means « poetry circle ». But « circle » has not a lof of meaning in the stanza, so I delete in purpose.

For the title of the song. I put « Poet girl », to have more sens. If we refer to the black side, she is the one who is writing the song. However, keep the « poetry circle » for the title is clearly difficult and doesn’t have to more sens for me.

Ruined Angels – english translation / ORGIA

Clearly the song the most difficult to translate and interpret. The song mix easy stanzas to understand, but other one ultra complicated to interpret. I was never think, that the first translation that I chosen was in reallity the most difficult one.

To see what is about this song click : here.

Notes:
One of the thing that catch my attention during the translation is about that apparently the song is concentrated about a group a maidens. Every refrains « otome tachi » is used. « Otome=maiden » and « tachi » for the plural.

So, at every refrain I translate the whole paragraph, always by the plural form.
But, according the song, sometimes the form « I » is used and made me think that all along the song, we are in the point of view of one of this maiden, in this group of maidens.

According her point of view she will kill herself, in agreement with the other girl, to reach the salvation.

傷つけあう乙女たちはまだ
罪の果ての涙知らなくて
震える心 望むその通り
ただ盲目に彷徨う 穢れてゆく魂
kizutsuke au otome tachi wa mada
tsumi no hate no namida shira nakute
furueru kokoro nozomu sonotori ni
tada moumoku ni samayou kegarete yuku tamashii
Wounded together, the maidens don’t know yet
The consequence of tears of sin.
Those shaking hearts desire the same thing…
Just in wandering in the blindness, those stained souls pass away!

The third stanza is little problematic to translate with « sonotori ». sonotori don’t have a proper definition and changes every time with the context. Most of the time this word sginificates an affirmation like « That’s Right! ». I think it our case, it significates to be an agreement on something. I don’t really know exactly how to translate properly the stanza, but I understand that the maidens are in agreement with the same sin.

In the fourth stanza, the verb « kegareru » has different interpretation possible, with the song like « to be violated, corrupted, stained ». I chosen « stained », because I have the feeling that they die, to the end of the song. I imagined « the maidens stained in their blood ».
However « corrupted » can also work. « Their were corrupted by the demon »
Very difficult to find an appopriated word for the translation.

鏡に映した 仮初めの愛を抱いたまま
義務さえ忘れて求めてる 誘惑あるいは支配を
kagami ni utsushita karisome no ai wo daita mama
gimu sae wasurete motome teru yuuwaku aruiwa shihai wo
In the mirror is reflected, a transient love, hugged.
Thus, the duty of control or temptation searches to be forgotten…

幼い翼は お互いを疑いながら
微熱に浮かされ 届かない夢を追い続けてる
osanai tsubasa wa otagai wo utagai nagara
binetsu ni ukasare todokanai yume wo oitsuzuke teru
Although, the childish wings doubt each other…
Becoming crazy into a slight fever, I continue to pursue a dream that I will never reach…

祈りの彼方 遥か高みより
天使の住処眺めている
恍惚の女神 無慈悲に笑い
冷たい檻の中に閉じ込めた
inori no kanata haruka takami yori
tenshi no sumika nagamete iru
koukotsu no megami mujihi ni warai
tsumetai ori no naka ni tojikometa
From the den of the angel, beyond far elevated places,
Are contemplated the distant prayers.
In ecstasy, the goddess laughs without pity,
Imprisoned inside a cold cage.

傷つけあう乙女たちはまだ
罪の果ての涙知らなくて
震える心 望むその通りに
ただ盲目に彷徨う 穢れてゆく魂
kizutsuke au otome tachi wa mada
tsumi no hate no namida shira nakute
furueru kokoro nozomu sonotori ni
tada moumoku ni samayou kegarete yuku tamashii
Wounded together, the maidens don’t know yet
The consequence of tears of sin.
Those shaking hearts desire the same thing…
Just in wandering in the blindness, those stained souls pass away!

優しく照らした 偽りの希望の光
蔑ろにした自由はもう 手の届かない場所へ
yasashiku terashita itsuwari no kibou no hikari
naigashiro ni shita jiyuu wa mou te no todokanai basho e
A light of false hope, shone tenderly…
I have ignored my freedom… Soon, my hands won’t reach this place…

仕組まれていた 初めの時から
天使の首を枷に繋ぐ
麗しの悪魔 甘い言葉で
煌びやかな宴へと誘う
shikumarete ita hajime no toki kara
tenshi no kubi wo kase ni tsunagu
uruwashi no akuma amai kotoba de
kirabiyakana utage e to sasou
From the beginning, everything was planned…
The neck of the angel, is tied with chains
And the sweet words of the beautiful demon
Invite her in a flamboyant party

虚ろな瞳の乙女たちは今
罪の赤い果実味わえば
引き返せない 苦しみの道を
ただ盲目に彷徨う 幾千の夜を越えて
utsuro na me no otome tachi wa ima
tsumi no akai kajitsu ajiwaeba
hikikaesenai kurushimi no michi wo
tada moumoku ni samayou ikusen no yoru wo koete
Now, the eyes of maidens are empty…
If they taste the red fruit of sin
They will never come back from the path of pain
Just in wandering in the blindness, they cross over thousand nights!

孤独の空で救い探していた 遠い記憶よ
拒まれるのが何より怖くて
喪失を重ねている
kodoku no sora de sukui sagashite ita toui kioku yo
kobamareru no ga naniyori kowakute
soushitsu wo kasanete iru
My distant memories are searching the salvation, in the lonely sky.
Frightened above all, that I can be rejected,
A loss repeats…

響き渡る乙女たちの声
ひたすらに願うは ひと時の承認のみで
それと引き換えに明日を失ってゆく
それなのに
hibiki wataru otome tachi no koe
hitasura ni negau wa hitotoki no shounin nomide
soreto hikikae ni ashita wo ushinatte yuku
sorenanoni
The echo of the voices of maidens extend,
Consented in a unique moment, by a desire determined.
In exchange, tomorrow is lost forever…
And yet…

傷つけあう乙女たちはまだ
罪の果ての涙知らなくて
震える心 望むその通りに
ただ盲目に彷徨う 穢れてゆく魂
kizutsuke au otome tachi wa mada
tsumi no hate no namida shira nakute
furueru kokoro nozomu sono touri ni
tada moumoku ni samayou kegarete yuku tamashii
Wounded together, the maidens don’t know yet
The consequence of tears of sin.
Those shaking hearts desire the same thing…
Just in wandering in the blindness, those stained souls pass away!
